The return of past cast members is one of the most popular anniversary concepts for next year. Last month, I asked fans on RangerCrew on what they considered more important: Cameos or Story. The obvious answer was both but most fans prefer cameos with the expectation that Power Rangers will always have a below par storyline. As much as I would love a healthy dose of story, past cameos, and great respect for the past seasons, it’s tough to tell how successful Power Rangers Super Megaforce will be in the limited 20 episodes.

Welcome to the_tenth_power (Guardians of Space), a dreamwidth.org community dedicated to the 1998 and 1999 entries of Saban's Power Rangers series, In Space and Lost Galaxy (both of which are based on Toei's Super Sentai Series, Megaranger and Gingaman of roughly the same era) The two are last entries with serious connections to the Mighty Morphin' or "Zordon/Post-Zordon Era" of the Power Rangers franchise before the series went the way of the totally self-contained set of stories (that take place in the same universe/neighborhood).

Hey everyone, rangercrew.com has posted their review of the DVD Box Set for seasons four through seven (Zeo, Turbo, Space and Galaxy).

The Power Rangers Seasons 4-7 (Zeo to Lost Galaxy) Box Set is a subset of the Power Rangers 40-DVD Box Set, which includes Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. The larger box set will begin shipping on August 6th. More information on the 40-DVD Box Set is posted on Samurai Cast. You can also pre-order the Box Set at PowerRangersOnDVD.COM.

Here is the box art for the Power Rangers: From Mighty Morphin to Lost Galaxy box set. The set has been split into two: one for Mighty Morphin Seasons 1-3 and the second for Power Rangers Zeo through Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.

Shout! Factory To Distribute 'Power Rangers,' Other Saban Titles

Shout! Factory has signed a multiyear agreement to distribute several Saban Brands properties, including episodes from the “Power Rangers” franchise.

The deal gives Shout! Factory exclusive DVD, Blu-ray and select digital rights to more than 700 episodes of the various “Power Rangers” shows that ran between 1993 and 2009, as well as 92 episodes of “VR Troopers” (1994-96), 26 episodes of “Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation” (1997-98) and 88 episodes of “Beetleborgs” (1996-98). The agreement does not extend to the 'Power Rangers' theatrical movies.

Prior to casting Cerina Vincent as Maya, Erin Simms had originally been chosen for the role of the "wild woman from Mirinoi". I was browsing around RangerBoard's search engine when I came across the name via the interview that's been posted on RangerCrew (and the aforementioned board as well). I'd been aware of the news, but I never knew of her name until yesterday. I Googled her so I could add a bit of trivia to the Maya wikia article and came across this fantastic Production Still on her IMBD.com profile, from what would be the scene for "Quasar Quest". (At the very least, I believe that's her. IMDB.com is known to make mistakes with their galleries.) This is probably common knowledge, but I didn't see it posted here and I figure I'd share it.
